Konstantin Khudyakov presented by
the Carré Doré Gallery of Monte-Carlo
at NOMOS Private Banking, Moscow, Russia.
February, 15-29 2012.
The Gallery Carré Doré presents Konstantin Khudyakov – one of the most significant artists of the contemporary art world, working with digital media.
Khudyakov was born in 1945 on the Volga River in Russia.Trained as an architect , he painted for many years before switching to digital media in the 90s.
His projects, such as “Hotel Russia”, “Deisis”, ”Panoramas”, and others, were exhibited at the best art venues in Russia including the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art. His "multi-touch art" - Khudyakov's personal contribution to Contemporary art - caused a furor: a multiple sequence of digital images displayed on an interactive screen , creating a complex work of art with a strong visual and emotional effect. The world is just beginning to discover Konstantin Khudyakov: his work was displayed at the Venice Biennale 2011.
Khudyakov’s style is easily recognizable: a myriad of details and multiple themes repeated in intermittent optics, overlapped by a rigid geometry of grids and lattices. The art of Khudyakov is spectacular and decorative,
so occasionally its complex philosophical nature can escape the notice of a spectator. We hope that our audience will appreciate the true force of his great art.
